Without too much introduction. Here is picture poetry of my Nana (Frances Thelma Whitehead, adopted Cooper, nee Osmond). She arrived and lost her mother during the flu epidemic in 1918 and departed this world as the colours turned burnt and fallen in May 2011. Although I won’t make a habit of personal tributes on this blog I’ve included this post to encourage others to go and be with the older people in their family, listen, observe, gather tales, secrets, images, and recipes from the antiques in their family to keep and ‘open’ when needed. Our whakapapa can guide us and bring us home.
what a lovely post!
thanks. smiles, emily.
