Copied and nestled under a magnet on a fridge…

Fear not, the time is coming.
Fear not, your bones are strong.
Fear not, good friends, help is nearby.
Fear not, Anubis is a gentle companion.
Fear not, the hands of the midwife are clever.
Fear not, the earth is beneath you.
Fear not, little mother
Fear not, mother of us all.

Extract from ‘The Red Tent’ by Anita Diamant

or a wild & grace positively framed version:

Trust, the time is coming.
Trust, your bones are strong.
Trust, good friends, help is nearby.
Trust, Anubis is a gentle companion.
Trust, the hands of the midwife are clever.
Trust, the earth is beneath you.
Trust, little mother
Trust, mother of us all.

Another mantra for birthing which arrived whilst meditating with Bert and Ken on the Ohauiti hill:

‘Be present. Have faith. Welcome our bodies.’

and later in contemplation:

‘Welcome. Listen. Yield. Surrender.’

Go well, mothers, birthing teams and babies. Mucho aroha.
