Saturday 21 March 2015 for the Equinox a cosy group of us gathered in Matua under the cloak of her night to meet shooting stars, moving pictures and sound bouncing off a daughter-graffitied-concrete-block-wall in a night of uplifting backyard film. Envirohub hired us the projector and screen (NB: should you need a screen, projector OR a classroom look these friendly folk up). I’d invited a smattering of neighbours, some Mums and Teachers from the local Kindy and Playcentre, and our darling naming rights poster girl Sarah and friends. Sarah’s featured a bit on this blog. She is an inspiration to me with how she walks this earth, her kindness, her generous heart and her solar systems of creativity. She is a yoga teacher and cares, did i say cares, for children. She makes it is easy to be grateful. In case you just couldn’t leave Guptill here’s our playlist for you to share with a ‘Sarah’ in your life.

We had a faux finish or an encore after Julian shared a story about a Nun loving? the King Singers. Fabulously ‘juste’, as I nearly programmed this lullaby I used to sing with ‘The Souls’ as the finale but wondered if its ‘image’ was a little stayed. Thanks universe for bringing tangata of like-hearted-ness together. Thanks Julian for your enthusiasm. God (whoever ‘your’ God may be) Bless.
The King Singer’s sing Billy Joel’s Lullaby
Time to close your eyes
And save these questions for another day
I think I know what you’ve been asking me
I think you know what I’ve been trying to say
I promised I would never leave you
And you should always know
Wherever you may go
No matter where you are
I never will be far awayGoodnight, my angel
Now it’s time to sleep
And still so many things I want to say
Remember all the songs you sang for me
When we went sailing on an emerald bay
And like a boat out on the ocean
I’m rocking you to sleep
The water’s dark
And deep inside this ancient heart
You’ll always be a part of meGoodnight, my angel
Now it’s time to dream
And dream how wonderful your life will be
Someday your child may cry
And if you sing this lullabye
Then in your heart
There will always be a part of meSomeday we’ll all be gone
But lullabyes go on and on…
They never die
That’s how you
And I
Will be
