What’s happening in Tauranga – July 2016

chi kungI nearly just wrote a post – what happened in Tauranga – June 2016, cos i have FOMO, and connectors guilt, that i didn’t find the space and heart to share with y’all our sunny city’s goings on.

But hop to, aunty me, i have sneezes, so into beddles should i go.

All of July…VISUAL ART. Greerton Guerilla’s Yarn Bombing. Go to Greerton. Take the bus, the kids, their scooters or rollerskates. Visit Le Chat Noir for something warm and find your favourite yarn bombed tree. FREE event. Venue: Chadwick Rd and Cameron Rd, Greerton.

Most Saturdays and Sundays...MUSIC – Mount Social Club hosts local musos to send us to our happy places with their FREE live music e.g. Alice Sea 3pm-6pm Sundays. Venue/Contact Mount Social Club for the schedule.

yarn-bomb-june-2014-5-of-18Thursdays 6.30pm – 8.30pm…SINGING – Mauao Contemporary Choir. A relaxed environment for experts and novices, men and women off all ages to come SING together. Tauranga’s new winter celebration featuring lights, lasers, fire and food. Join the free family fun when the waterfront turns into a wonderful spectacle of light. Shows are running throughout the evening with performances by Highly Flammable and Flying Pictures each half hour from 6 – 9.30pm, and winter bites brought to you by the Little Big Markets. This workshop is free. Places are limited and you need to contact Baycourt asap to secure a place. Peter is not in NZ very often so please do make the most of this opportunity.Venue: Baycourt theatre.

So it looks like I missed ‘Just Dance‘ at Arataki Community Centre in June! Anyone know if Coka and Noa are planning anymore?
