Where to eat at Matua’s Cherrywood in the Bay of Plenty

Neighbourhood Beer Kitchen

Cherry Tree Espresso Bar

Istanbul Turkish Cafe and Takeaways

You could take a picnic to one of the myriad of adorable spots dotted around our peninsula. Both Fergusson and Kulim sport BBQs, so perhaps take some sausages from the local butcher, if you don’t eat red meat the butchery do a delish hot smoked salmon and the wee Four Square is well-stocked (you’ll find cream cheese there, and maybe some capers…) and she’s old-school immaculate.

Take your pick…
Otumoetai Community Garden

Kulim Park

Matua Saltmarsh

Fergusson Park

Whilst we’re on the subject of Fergusson Park, on Saturday 25 February 2017 from 4pm until 10pm in association with Matua Residents Association, The Street Food Union and Otumoetai Intermediate’s Music Academy Night Owl Cinema presents Robin Williams in Jumanji.

Come down to Fergusson Park from 4pm to play on bouncy things, listen to local young musicians, eat great food from around the globe and view a film under the stars from 8pm. Bring ya woollies, and a waterproof mat/rug/or sleeping bag cos the grass can get damp in the eve. Don’t ya LOVE nature.

Thanks people for making Tauranga Moana such a vibrant place to live and love.
