You may remember the Zinefest from such cities as Auckland, Wellington and… The Tron. Now buckle ya seat belts Tauranga… the Zinefest is coming back to town! Join us at Tauranga Art Gallery, Saturday 26th August, 10am til 3pm.
The Zinefest is an open invite; artists, writers, poets, creatives, hipsters, cat lovers, teachers, punk rockers, musos and cool kids! You’re all warmly welcomed to take part in this amazing event. And what’s more, Zinefests are good for you!

– Expand your brain by finding out what a zine is – you can even attend talks and demos on the day.
– Get your creative juices flowing by making your very own zine.
– Keep fit by skipping happily between the many zine stalls.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
Our event is called TEDxTauranga, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxTauranga event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

Established in 1999 we are Tauranga’s flagship arts festival. We deliver world-class programme direct from leading artists and performers at the peak of their practice. It’s a live experience that you don’t have to travel to Auckland for or be living in London – it happens right here in Tauranga.We bring the community together and the City alive over 10 days, from the 19-29 October 2017.The Festival activates the Tauranga CBD, presenting performances and exhibitions from the Carrus Crystal Palace, Baycourt, the Tauranga Art Gallery and throughout the streets. But it doesn’t stop there.
We show from a number of venues in greater Tauranga, Mount Maunganui, Waihi Beach and Te Puke.
